A general Japanese course teaches you the language. We teach you the language the examiner will actually ask about — and then we drill it until it is automatic.
Every lesson maps to a section of JFT-Basic or a JLPT level. No detours into grammar you will not be tested on, no textbook chapters that do not move your score.
Full-length, timed, on a computer — the same shape as the CBT you will sit at the Prometric centre. You will have taken the test a dozen times before you take it once.

Classes cap at eight students. Your teacher knows your weak section and your test date, and your study plan changes when your mock scores do.

The fastest route to a work visa
The Japan Foundation Test for Basic Japanese is the language requirement for the Specified Skilled Worker (SSW) visa. It is A2 level, computer-based, and held almost every month — so you are never more than a few weeks from your next attempt.
The qualification employers recognise
The Japanese-Language Proficiency Test is the certificate most employers, universities and immigration routes ask for by name. It runs twice a year, so the deadline is real — and preparation has to start early.
Going to Japan as a Specified Skilled Worker in care, food service, construction, agriculture or hospitality? JFT-Basic is usually the fastest route. Applying to a language school, a university, or a company that asks for a certificate? You want JLPT. Many students do JFT-Basic first for the visa, then JLPT for the career.

You need 200 points out of 250. That corresponds to A2.2 on the CEFR scale, and it is the level accepted for the Specified Skilled Worker visa. There is no section minimum — only your total score matters.
From a complete beginner, plan on three to six months of consistent study — roughly 8 to 12 hours a week. If you already read hiragana and katakana comfortably, two to three months is realistic. We give you an honest estimate after your free level check rather than a number designed to sell a course.
JFT-Basic runs year-round at Prometric test centres, so there is a short waiting period between attempts rather than a once-a-year deadline. Check the official JFT-Basic site for the current interval and the schedule in your country.
If your goal is the Specified Skilled Worker visa, JFT-Basic is usually faster — it is A2 level and held almost every month. If you need a certificate for an employer, a university or a language school, they will usually ask for JLPT, most often N4 or above. Many of our students do JFT-Basic first for the visa and JLPT afterwards for the career.
Not for the SSW visa itself — JFT-Basic satisfies the language requirement. But JLPT N4 or N3 opens more jobs, better pay and the route to changing status later, so most of our students come back for it once they are settled.
